Konstantinos Fotopoulos was born in Athens in 1982. At his early childhood he started to study music and his first teacher was his father reverend fr. Ioannis Fotopoulos. Later he continued his studies under the supervision of Protopsaltis Konstantinos Papachristodoulou and reverend fr. Anastasios Traiforos. Fr. Anastasios Traiforos was his teacher when he graduated the "First certificate in Byzantine music" in 2000 and "Diploma of Byzantine music" in 2001 both with "A degree". The perfection of his knowledge in Byzantine music came true when he started to have strong friendships with famous old teachers of Byzantine music like Dimitrios Soulartzis, Dimitrios Ioannidis and of course the famous "Arxontas Lampadarios of Great Church of Christ" mr. Vasilios Emmanouilidis who was his teacher for the next 3 years.

Simultaneously he started to learn violin and his first teachers were Stelios Kalaitzakis firstly and Ioannis Zeugolis later. In 2000 he registered at National and Kapodistrian university of Athens for studies in Philology. In 2001 he graduated the "Diploma of Harmony".

In 2004 he moved in Moscow. The purpose of that travel was to establish a music school specialized in Byzantine music in the russian capital. He stayed in Moscow for 3 years and he succeeded not only to establish a music school but to create also a famous Byzantine choir in Russia. The success was astonishing and those 3 years the Byzantine choir in Moscow released 3 CDs and accepted many invitations to chant at concerts, at church services in and out of Russia.
