The Scholeion Psaltikis in order to facilitate the study of teachers and students, to promote research and to expand the psalm repertoire of the “En psaltiriο” choir, has created an important musical collection of printed and digital material.
It therefore maintains a music library consisting of modern as well as rare music publications, liturgical books, liturgical liturgies, historical and theoretical books, studies, doctoral theses, music catalogs, etc., which is constantly enriched. In addition, in order to meet the needs for the study of musical manuscripts, a rich electronic library was created, which provides the School’s research team with the necessary material. The School has also digitized musical manuscripts of private collections and holy monasteries.
Also important is the archive of recordings, published and unpublished, which are used by teachers and students for the needs of the School’s lessons. Part of this archive was also presented through the show “Psaltic Tours” of the founders of the School. These include rare recordings of hymns and interviews of old chanters. The recording archive is constantly enriched with new material and recordings made by the founders and collaborators of the Scholeion Psaltikis.
