Emmelia Damanaki, originally from Crete but also with roots in Lebanon, was born in Athens in 1994 and is a graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the EKPA.
At Pallini Music School where he studied, he attended piano and tambourine lessons. In addition, he took nei lessons with teachers Nektarios Stamatello, Sylvia Koutroulis and Daniel Coughlin and attended traditional singing seminars with teachers Katerina Papadopoulou and Stavroula Daliani. He has also attended an oriental music seminar with teacher Sokratis Sinopoulos.
Emmelia Damanaki has collaborated, as a musician and singer, with distinguished musicians: Nikos and Yasemi Saragouda, Sokratis Sinopoulos, Katerina Papadopoulou, Manos Koutsaggelidis, Manos Achalinotopoulos, etc. In addition, he has sung in major concerts (Megaro Musikis, Irodeion) and has participated in record productions.
Her involvement in teaching began in 2013 by giving private lessons in tambourine and piano, while collaborating with conservatories and other organizations she teaches traditional singing, musical ensembles and music pre-education.
In 2015, her collaboration with the “Psaltic School” began, where she teaches traditional singing and has also taken over the traditional singing choirs, for children and adults.
